Two weeks ago you were gracious enough to send me the original design drawings of the Howitzer. I have attached some photos of the project for your enjoyment. I thought you would like the pics.
While the taper is at the same angle as the taper on the cannon barrel it doesn't change dia like the taper on the cannon barrel. Over the 2 in. span of the trunnion base there is only .02" rise. They came out close enough to perfect for me. In case you where wondering the bore is 1.74" (golf balls are 1.688"). Thanks again. Rob Zimmerman |

Is it possible to get better copies of
the French and US Mountain Howitzers shown on your site or
can you tell me the source of these plans? I would
like to produce CG models of these guns. And, the next day: They are done in AutoCAD 2007 as solid
models. I'll render them later in Max or Maya. The CAD
models are 1:1. I may see if I can create a rapid prototype
model of the gun. Will render in Bronze when I can. The next
step would be to find a dimension limber or carriage for the
